Looking for unique food, fun and toe-tapping entertainment? If so, look no further than Sim’s Country BBQ, a cozy little place just off the beaten path in southern Caldwell County. Of course Sim’s is known for its barbecue, but its true claim to fame is being home to one of the best clogging teams in North Carolina. For anyone who wants to learn to square dance, the band will call out the steps and have dancers feeling like pros in no time. By the way, the food isn’t bad either. Sim's offers an all-you-can-eat selection of Texas-style barbecue chicken, pork and beef, along will all the fixings. But, more than just the great food, the casual atmosphere is what helps patrons kick up their heels and have an old-fashioned good time. Sim's is home to the annual Molasses Festival each year during the second Saturday in October.
